Evergreen:

 A Sense of Place

Gallery 110 artists have been invited by the Washington State Convention and Trade Center to present a collective exhibition based on what it is to be an artist living in the Northwest.

Life in the Northwest includes a sometimes-subtle perception of the things that make it special and the characteristics that distinguish our home from other parts of the country. Our relationship and familiarity with certain imagery, with the man-made and natural environment, and with invisible aspects of our culture, enhance our sense of place and foster our feelings of attachment and belonging. We become enchanted by unknown forces and give expression to the spirit that owns this place.

Our art draws attention to tactile surfaces, narrative moments, common experience, familiarity, or memory though painting, photography, mixed media, fabric, drawing, and printmaking. It links our individual yet common experiences and relationships to this place and provides an overview of life in the Northwest.
